Dr. Kelli has 12 years of experience in chiropractic care, specializing in all stages of pregnancy—preconception, prenatal, and postpartum. Our office is prepared to ensure the comfort and safety of both the mother and her unborn child. Dr. Kelli can also recommend specific exercises and stretches that are safe to perform at various stages of pregnancy, helping to support your health and well-being throughout this time.

The Webster Technique

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.  Leading to a happier and less stressed pregnancy and delivery.

Finding a Pregnancy Chiropractor

Our best advice is to check with the ICPA. This pediatric organization maintains a directory of chiropractors committed to family care. There you can find those who hold various certifications. Those holding the Webster Certification have an in-depth understanding of the importance of chiropractic care during pregnancy. Those holding the Perinatal Certification have continued with courses that build on the comprehensive expertise of care throughout the perinatal period from preconception through postpartum.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care During Pregnancy

Receiving chiropractic care throughout your pregnancy, and even postpartum, offers numerous benefits, including:

  • Alleviating morning sickness symptoms

  • Reducing neck and back pain associated with pregnancy

  • Helping to prevent the need for a Cesarean section

  • Shortening labor and delivery time

  • Promoting a healthier overall pregnancy experience

  • Speeding up recovery time after childbirth

Correction of Breech Babies

Typically, while a baby is in the womb, it is positioned in a breech presentation. Physicians generally do not become concerned about the baby's position until around 37 weeks of pregnancy. However, about four percent of deliveries occur with the baby in a breech position, which can be dangerous and potentially life-threatening.
