What is Mercier Therapy? 

 

Mercier Therapy is a deep gynovisceral manipulation technique to restore mobility and blood flow to your reproductive organs. This hand-on manual therapy addresses soft tissues and visceral (uterine and ovarian) restrictions. As restrictions are relieved and movement is enhanced, the organs and surrounding structures optimize their natural functions. This technique is non-invasive all external, and gentle.

 

Mercier Therapy consists of six sessions of focused pelvic organ work. These sessions are 45-60 minutes in length. Sessions are scheduled weekly for six weeks (the schedule may be slightly alternated when necessary). 

I learned Mercier Therapy directly from the creator, Dr. Jennifer Mercier. This therapy is appropriate for anyone facing fertility challenges, pelvic pain and dysfunction, gynecologic surgery recovery, or those with a history of C-Section or traumatic birth experiences. These sessions are separate from our chiropractic practice and performed outside of our existing patient hours. 

 

Merciér Therapy (not Fertility Program)

Merciér Therapy can be started as soon as 2 weeks postpartum for a vaginal birth and six weeks postpartum for a cesarean birth (as long as incision has completely healed). 

Please get your midwife’s or doctor’s permission before initiating therapy.

Mercier Therapy for postpartum healing is six sessions of focused pelvic organ work. These sessions are 45-60 minutes in length and are scheduled weekly for six weeks (this schedule may be alternated as necessary).

Cost: Consultation: $300 cash/check (approximately 1 hour in length—this will include a physical assessment and paid the day of the consultation)

Therapy: $900 cash/check; 2 Payments of $475 cash/check (paid in full by third session). *No refunds or transfers to other services.

Total: $1200, $1250 if therapy payments are split

 

Mercier Therapy & The Shared Journey Fertility Program

Shared Journey Fertility Program is a 6-week program (this schedule may be alternated when necessary) with follow ups to assist in cycle tracking. This program is customized to fit your needs. During your initial consultation, you can expect to discuss not only your health history, but also life experiences to explore possible contributing factors to your fertility challenges. It can be used as a stand-alone regime or in preparation for a medically assisted cycle such as IUI or IVF. 

I highly recommend that you prepare your body properly prior to starting any medically assisted fertility cycle to increase the likelihood for a successful first cycle. The Shared Journey Fertility Program can be completed in time for your stim start. 

Without medical assistance, the stand-alone Shared Journey Fertility Program supports your body’s own cycle and rhythms. After completion of the six Mercier Therapy sessions, I will guide you in monitoring your own ovulatory cycle for up to one year (this may be done in person or virtually).

The program is uniquely tailored to each individual woman’s situation. This is discussed in the initial consultation that must be completed prior to starting your Shared Fertility Journey Program with me. When scheduling a consultation, please plan for approximately 60 minutes. Please bring any past medical records that may be helpful when discussing your history. During our consultation, there will be a physical examination component. 

Shared Journey Fertility Program consists of six sessions that are 60 minutes in length scheduled once a week for six weeks (this schedule may be alternated as necessary). The next six weeks we will meet in person, via video chat, or phone call to review, reflect, and continue to evolve in harmony with your cycle. After those initial twelve weeks (3 months), we will be in communication at least once a month. 

Consult Cost: $300 cash/check (due day of consultation)

Therapy Cost: $3000 cash/check; 2 Payments of $1550 cash/check (paid in full by third session Total: $3300; $3400 if therapy payments are split
